One of the quests of Fortnite: Chapter 3 tasks players with knocking down several Timber Pines, a new tree introduced in this chapter’s map. While the Timber Pine is still just a tree, it has specific distinctions that separate it from the typical lumber of Fortnite‘s forests. First, Timber Pines stand much taller than an average evergreen, at approximately ×1.5 the height. Another unique difference is the color of their wood and leaves. A Timber Pine tree in Fortnite has a minty turquoise in its foilage and a light grayish brown for its central trunk. Read on to learn where these new tree types can be found.
Where to Knock Down Timber Pines in Fortnite
The spawn location of Timber Pines in Fortnite is to the mountainous northwestern region of the map, mainly where there’s lots of snow. Such areas include the lake near Camp Cuddle and anywhere surrounding Logjam Lumberyard. As players travel further to the northwest, they can find plenty of Timber Pines to knock down to complete their challenge.
How to Claim an Abandoned Tent in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1
Once players spot Timber Pines in Fortnite, they can knock the trees down using their Harvesting Tool. When a Timber Pine’s HP reaches 0, it won’t despawn like regular trees but will instead “timber” over, leaving a stump behind. Be careful when cutting down Timber Pines near moving water or on slopes as the fallen log can roll off on its own. After players knock down enough pines, they can complete their challenge and earn their Fortnite quest rewards.
