Winterfest is back in Fortnite, and with it comes new challenges, skins, and fun gameplay mechanics. An always enjoyable weapon is also making its return: the Snowball Launcher. If you’re wondering where to find the snowball launcher in Fortnite, we’re here to help you snatch one of these cool weapons up.

Where to Find a Snowball Launcher in Fortnite

We all want to make that perfect, rounded snowball, but who are we kidding? You can’t do that without some insane skills or the epic Snowball Launcher in Fortnite’s Winterfest. But where to find this thrilling, seasonal weapon?

Unfortunately, you’re dealing with a good helping of luck when it comes to finding one.

There are three routes you can take:

  • Chests
  • Sgt. Winter’s presents
  • Killing another player

Snowball Launchers spawn in various chests. So, if you happen to know a good spot where chests spawn, then consider heading there from the bus. If anything, this will at least increase your chances of snagging a launcher near the start of the match.

You can always track down Sgt. Winter too. This battle version of Santa Clause is usually chilling in the Cozy Lodge, but he also races around in “Santa’s sleigh”. If you can follow him in his tricked-out truck, then he’ll scatter some presents around. Again, it comes down to luck. One of these Fortnite gifts just might have the elusive Snowball Launcher.

Of course, you can always just catch another player that’s using the weapon, kill them, and then loot to your heart’s content.

Fortnite: All Vault Locations in Chapter 3 Season 1

With the Winterfest going strong, Fortnite players are racing to figure out where to find the Snowball Launcher. It’s truly a luck of the draw though as some chests and presents may have it while others won’t. The launcher is needed too if you want to complete the challenge associated with it.

In that case, keep your eyes peeled for someone aiming for you. If you’re fast enough, go ahead and…liberate it from them.

Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 1 is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android.
