Fortnite launched a fairly substantial update last night, which introduced a brand new event countdown timer, a nerf to the Rail Gun, the return of the Inflate-a-Bull, and much more! One of the biggest changes introduced into the latest update though is the brand new Plasma Cannon weapon, designed to destroy any structures in the projectile’s path. This can as expected, be quite destructive in the right hands and with the right strategy. Before you can dive into that though, you need to know how to acquire it. Where to Find a Plasma Cannon in Fortnite
The Plasma Cannon can be found pretty much anywhere you’d expect to find the other alien weapons. These include the IO loot chests at IO bases around the map, along with various intruders and from the Mothership minigame. Keep searching through these and you’ll be bound to find a Plasma Cannon somewhere. In the event you don’t want to trust the RNG gods to give you one though, the weapon can also be crafted. In order to craft this beast, make sure you have a legendary pistol and a single alien nanite. Then, open the crafting menu and combine the two to craft yourself a Plasma Cannon!
Like said, this weapon can be surprisingly devastating in the right hands. Its strength lies in being able to decimate structures quickly, making it great for ending an opponent’s rather frustrating tower. With the projectiles being very slow though, you likely won’t see much damage done to other players. And with it doing a measly 33 damage to players, it isn’t your greatest choice anyways. Still, its utility is unmatched.
