Far back in Chapter 2, Fortnite added gas cans. Although they’re for refueling vehicles, they’re also used for destruction. Some good placement is all you need to use gas cans to their fullest potential. In Fortnite Chapter 3, players must find a gas can so they can complete the new weekly challenge.

Find a Gas Can in Fortnite Chapter 3

Gas cans are vital if you like to use vehicles. However, they are also throwable items. So, you can toss them or set them up and cause some cool explosions. As the new challenges arrive in Week 4 of Fortnite Chapter 3, players have noticed just how important it is to find a gas can. In this quest, players must destroy two objects by detonating gas cans.

Completing the challenge is simple enough. All you have to do is place the gas can down nearby an object and blow it up. Of course, get yourself to a safe distance first. These can deal some damage, so let’s not blow ourselves up.

To get some gas cans, head to the Behemoth Bridge. This is southwest of Shifty Shafts, and it typically spawns nine gas canisters. So, this is more than enough for a solo player and a team to grab and finish the challenge.

How to Use a Gas Can in Fortnite

Once you find a gas can in Fortnite Chapter 3, just place one down by an object, move away, and shoot it. It’ll instantly finish that challenge off. However, there’s more you can do. You can toss it at enemies and shoot it while it’s in the air as it’ll still explode as long as it doesn’t touch the ground.

You can even ride on a gas can that’s thrown if you wish, but do so at your own risk. Also, try placing one by a campfire to see it ignite. This little trick just won’t work if you do it at a campfire that’s already extinguished.
