Back then, it was leading up to the live event that capped off the seventh season and led into Season 8 known as Operation Sky Fire. This new countdown is leading up to a similar event, with the upcoming event marking the end of both season 8 as well as the entirety of Chapter 2 of Fortnite. Epic Games has already announced that they will be ending the game’s eighth season and second chapter with a big event that they are calling “The End.” This is the in-game event that the live countdown is leading to in Fortnite. The countdown is currently scheduled to end on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 1 PM ET. This is when players can expect to see the game-changing event begin.
