Our Fortnite Suppressed Sniper Rifle Guide goes through the ins-and-outs of this new long range weapon for the Battle Royale. We’ll go over the damage and stats, where-to find, how-to use, and feature some tips and tricks on how-to best use the weapon.

It wasn’t that long ago that we got the Heavy Sniper Rifle, so getting another addition to the game in that weapon type is a bit of a surprise. The weapon isn’t that much different than a bolt-action, and really you’ll only be getting the benefit of the suppressed part of it. That’s not a huge advantage in the overall scheme of things. You could be able to play a bit more stealthy, but most good players will be able to figure out where you are based on where they are getting hit from.

Suppressed Sniper Rifle Release Date

The Suppressed Sniper Rifle was released on Tuesday, January 7th 2019.

Suppressed Sniper Rifle Damage & Stats

The Suppressed Sniper Rifle does 100/105 base damage (epic/legendary). Sniper’s do 2.5x damage to head, so that means these do 250/262.5 (epic/legendary) critical damage. The reload speed does not appear to be much better if at all than the bolt-action.

Suppressed Sniper Rifle Where-to Find

You’ll be able to find these in chests, supply drops, and vending machines. In rare situations you can find one as floor loot. This comes in Epic and Legendary varieties.

  • With the suppressed functionality added to the sniper, you should be able to keep yourself hidden in bushes or behind natural cover. You’ll have to be pretty sneaky to remain hidden, and you’ll likely only get a shot or two off before being discovered. Other than the stealth potential, there’s not a whole lot different than the bolt-action sniper. So, play it like you would any other sniper!
