Is the gaming phenomenon known as Fortnite over? No. Not a chance. But, after the game’s most recent live event, the game appears to have reached its end. Well, at least the game’s map.

In Fortnite’s season 10 finale event titled “The End”, players gathered together to discover what was in store for the battle royale juggernaut. Long-story-short, the rocket on the map launched and it led to the entire game, map and players included, being sucked into a black hole. Yeah, it’s probably better if we just show you. Here’s Twitch streamer DrLupo’s stream and reaction to the event:

Players were then stuck staring at a black screen with their only option being to exit the game. According to Epic Games, Fortnite is no longer playable at this time. They’ve gone quiet on social media, deleting tweets and the only thing on their platforms is a live stream of that black hole. It’s all very weird and honestly, pretty interesting. You can check out the official Fortnite Twitter page here.

Fan theories have been running rampant regarding secret codes hidden in the black hole that could be hinting at what’s next for the battle royale.

While you’re waiting on Epic Games to reveal more, Fortnite News recently discovered a new mini-game inside the title that will help you pass the time:

If you do the Konami code, you can play a minigame while you wait.

All in all, this has been a massive success for Epic Games. Millions of people watched this event on YouTube, Twitch, and Mixer along with millions currently talking about the future of Fortnite as a whole. Some are dying to figure out what’s next while others, who aren’t fans of the game, are celebrating the game’s (temporary) end.

We’ll keep you updated on this story as we get more information.
