Fortnite just released its newest update this week. This update focused on two major bug fixes. One for the shockwave hammer and another for the hurdle mechanic. The latter, sadly, is still happening. Even though Epic Games decided to remove the mechanic for a while to fix it, it seems it didn’t work out. The hurdle glitches in Fortnite are still happening, and players are not very happy about it.

Hurdle glitches in Fortnite might throw you all the way to the opposite side of the map

The chapter hasn’t been that bad, despite its glitches and bugs. Switching to Unreal 5 was one of the best things the game could’ve done. While it is only noticeable on next-gen and PC, players are loving it. Beyond that, we got new mechanics such as Augments, new weapons, and a fun medieval-themed map. Yet, one of the improvements people were looking for was the hurdle mechanic in Fortnite, without glitches, of course. Sadly, players quickly noticed that this mechanic could react in unexpected ways. Some players have been flung all the way across the map when activating this ability. Other players when trying to interact with a chest, jumped straight up into the sky without being able to avoid death by falling damage. This is bad, especially for solo players who have no one around to revive them.

Fortnite: How to Claim Capture Points

Fortunately for Epic Games, their community was understandably sympathetic to the glitches. Given how recent the feature is, people are understanding. Yet, we all know that the gaming community can change its mood quite fast. After the mechanic was disabled and supposedly fixed, many users are still experiencing issues. The hurdle glitches in Fortnite remain and it is becoming annoying for some. Right now, everyone is still waiting for a fix. Epic Games should hurry up before The Witcher event comes to the game. It is less than a month away and there are still some issues plaguing this recent season.
