Fortnite has today (November 9) launched a hotfix on all platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. There are only two big changes to talk about today, with no bug fixes in sight (though likely still made). These two changes are the addition of the new Combat Pistol (expect a guide on how to find this soon) alongside enhancements to the Sideways Rifle. These aren’t anything crazy, but they’re notable content additions nonetheless. That’s never a bad thing. Without further adieu, here’s everything new with Fortnite in its November 9 update!

Fortnite November 9 Update Patch Notes

Combat Pistol: Power With a Kick

Combat Pistols can be found in Chests, on the ground, and from fishing. The standard Pistol has been vaulted as the Combat Pistol has been distributed throughout the Island.

The Sideways Rifle Enhanced

The Sideways Rifle has seen some refinements! It now reaches its superpowered state (or “close to overheating” state) faster, stays there longer, and is more accurate. Pick one up and take advantage of these changes.

As was said, there isn’t a whole lot to discuss with today’s update. Though with that being said, the new weapon and improvements to an existing weapon do have tangible gameplay changes. Plus, this isn’t the last we’ll see before the next major season update. There’s still one more major patch planned, though the details of this are sparse at best. Some are suggesting this could be the dawn of Chapter 3 rather than a standard season, but we won’t know for sure until the season update launches. When it does though, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

Fortnite is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Android. For more information regarding this update, check out the official website.
