According to a new report, Fortnite may be adding a character from the popular DC franchise, Teen Titans. Reputable insider Tom Henderson has reported that Starfire, arguably the most popular Teen Titan after Robin, is joining Fortnite on September 2nd.

Fortnite is known for its collaboration with major films and TV series. Due to the game’s immense popularity, we see characters from all forms of media being added to its roster. Recently, we learned that iconic characters from the Destiny franchise, including Zavala, Ikora Rey, and Exo Stranger, will also be available to purchase in Fortnite’s in-game store.

As of right now, not many details about Starfire joining Fortnite have been shared except for the tentative release date. However, Tom Henderson suggests that data miners will be able to find additional information soon. It is also likely that we see more than just a skin (pickaxe, backpack, glider) coming with Starfire, as is the case with most of the game’s crossovers.

Why is Teen Titans’ Starfire joining Fortnite?

Mostly, there is a reason behind a collaboration. For instance, Fortnite’s collaboration with Destiny was done in honor of celebrating the 30th anniversary of Bungie. Right now, there doesn’t seem to be so much going on for Teen Titans, which may look like the timing for this crossover is odd. Unless, of course, DC might be revealing a Season 4 teaser for Titans sometime soon (this is purely speculative), or it might just be to distract everyone from the disasters happening within Warner Bros Discovery.

The Starfire skin in Fortnite will be its third collaboration with the Teen Titans franchise following Beast Boy and Raven being added to the game last year. However, make sure to take this information with a grain of salt, as nothing is confirmed until an official announcement by Fortnite or DC is made.
