Fortnite has a match replay system which allows players to watch back previous matches they’ve finished. This replay system is available on both PC and console versions of the game. This week, for one of the challenges, you need to watch a replay. You may have noticed lots of fun Fortnite GIFs and videos doing the rounds, and this replay tool is one of the reasons they are so common.

How To Watch A Match Replay

Watching a replay is a very simple process, just go to the Career menu, then select Replays. From there, you will be able to find all the stored videos that the game has automatically kept of your matches. You can sort them by date, length, or how well you did in the match. The Rename function is currently a little bugged, so at the moment it is best to just leave the file names as they are.

This is a very easy Challenge this week, and was obviously set up to advertise the Replay feature, as many players may not have known about it at all. While you are watching the replay, I suggest you have a good play around with all the various options, as it is a surprisingly robust tool. If you are looking to create some fancy GIFs, the camera has Exposure, Aperture, Focal Length and Auto Focus options, in case you want to immortalize any of your epic gameplay moments.

Now, at the moment people are reporting that watching Replays is not successfully registering in the system, and the Challenge is not reading as done. It worked just fine for me, but I do want to point out that I watched a Replay of a match I played today, since the update. I have no idea if this can make a difference, but I felt it was worth pointing out here, just in case it helps you out. So, now you know how to watch a match replay.
