Fortnitemares 2021 has officially begun and with it comes a number of new skins, rewards, and challenges. One brand new set of Punchcard challenges comes from Dark Jonesy called “The Oracle Speaks.” One of his challenges tasks you with recovering a Spirit Vessel from an item called the Shadow Stone. This guide will show you how to use a Shadow Stone and recover the Spirit Vessel in Fortnite.
How to Use a Shadow Stone and Recover the Spirit Vessel
You will first need to talk to Dark Jonesy to start his Punchcard Quest. The corrupted version of Fortnite‘s flagship character can be found at Steamy Stacks. His location will be signified by a white Speech Bubble when you get close to him. Once you talk to him, you will have to complete only one other challenge for Dark Jonesy before you are able to complete the Shadow Stone challenge. This one challenge tasks you with collecting Scrolls at different IO Bases. When those scrolls are collected and the challenge is done, you can now go hunt down a Shadow Stone. You can find these Shadow Stones near alien wreckages and consuming them will send you into a shadow form. Also near these sites are these vases called Spirt Vessels which you need to go pick up while in Shadow form to complete the challenge. Below is a map for one of these locations to the west of Dirty Docks. The black circle shows you where to find the Shadow Stone and the other is where you will find the Spirit Vessel.

Once you use a Shadow Stone and recover the Spirit Vessel, the challenge will be completed and you will be rewarded 30,000 XP for leveling up your Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass. Once you recover the Vessel, you will be able to move on to Dark Jonesy’s next challenge: Touch a Cube.
