How To Play Close Encounters in Fortnite
Close Encounters is an LTM that has been implemented previously in the popular Battle Royale’s lifetime and sees players only being given access to a list of shotguns and a plethora of Jet Packs as the Storm moves much more quickly than regular games. To enter the game mode, you are going to want to go to the Discover page and look in the “By Epic” section. Here you will find a number of modes added to the game by the Epic Games team, with Close Encounters being one of them.

There is a list of challenges that can be completed only in this mode, each one giving you a fair bit of XP for your Battle Pass. These challenges are to deal 100 damage to enemies in the game mode (which will reward you with 10,000 XP), eliminate two players within 30 seconds of each other (12,000 XP), get an elimination when there are 10 or fewer players left (14,000 XP). There is also an extra 18,000 XP rewarded to players that complete all the challenges, meaning that you could have a sweet 54,000 XP waiting for you.
