Fortnite is a massively popular battle-royale sandbox that allows all players to interact with its world and tools in many ways. With constant gameplay updates and the vast amount of quests for players to complete, it feels like there is no shortage of what you can do. One of the quests Fortnite has introduced recently has players igniting a certain amount of structures while playing the game. While relatively straightforward, knowing the most optimal way to obtain the items for this quest will make things much easier. In this guide, you will learn what you need to know to ignite structures in Fortnite.

How To Ignite Structures In Fortnite

In order to ignite structures in Fortnite, you can use a couple of different fire-damaged items, such as Firefly Jars and Gas Cans. The recently added and slightly more challenging to find Repair Torch item can be utilized for the fire damage. However, as stated before, it takes a little bit more time and patience to find in exchange for the best fire-damage output. As opposed to the Repair Torch, the Gas Cans and Firefly Jars spawn in specific areas consistently, so they can be more relied on. The first of the two, being Gas Cans, can be found in the highest numbers on the bridge northeast of The Fortress. These items require to be shot to explode, which will then set fire and ignite structures that are destructible in the immediate vicinity.

The other major item is the Firefly Jar, which is found in concentration near the river between Greasy Grove and Tilted Towers. There will be about a dozen Firefly spawns around there that allow you to pick them up as throwables that explode and ignite structures on impact, as well as do decent fire damage to other players. Repair Torches are spawned randomly in the game but are mostly found in Gas Stations and Garages, so if you get lucky, you can make use of them as well in your digital arsonist endeavors. A final, less-reliable way to ignite structures is to do enough damage to Gas Station pumps as when they explode have a chance to set fire to any buildings close by. This tactic is not nearly as efficient due to the limited number of Gas Stations and structures that can be ignited around them.

After igniting 100 structures, you will unlock the Fiery Jam Back Bling, one of the several items that can be unlocked through the several quests as part of the already named Volcanic Assassin Pack. Now with your new back bling, you can show off your red-hot attitude to the world as you claim your next Victory Royale.
