A few years ago, the Shield Bubble was available in Fortnite as a rare rarity item. Despite being vaulted since Chapter 2, Season 1, it has recently been unleashed alongside a voting trial. If you are looking to finish the celebratory unvaulted quest for it, you’ll have to search for and use the Shield Bubble as soon as possible! This guide will teach you how to get the Shield Bubble during the current voting trial and what it does in Fortnite.

How to Get the Shield Bubble in Fortnite

You can find Shield Bubbles during your regular Fortnite matches as chest and floor loot. Shield Bubbles also appear in supply drops. It is a rare rarity item, so it will appear with a blue glow and outline once you find it. It is a rare drop compared to other weapons and items, so you may need to play multiple matches before you encounter it for the first time.

As the name suggests, the Shield Bubble is used to create a large shield around an area. Since it is a throwable item, you can throw it onto the ground to summon a large dome. If you are inside the area, the barrier will protect you from all projectiles, including bullets and grenades, for 30 seconds before disappearing. However, the shield is not invincible and will only absorb around 400 health points of damage.

The Shield Bubble will only be available until May 16 during the Fortnite voting trial. If you want the opportunity to try out the Shield Bubble, keep an eye out for it in your games as much as possible! As well, if you want to see the Shield Bubble added into the game again, be sure to vote for its return during the trial period! You can vote for either the balloon or the Shield Bubble by using gold bars at the donation station.

Fortnite is available on PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Android, and iOS platforms.
