There’s always excitement when Fortnite launches a new round of Weekly and Seasonal Quests with updates. This time around, there’s one in particular that no one can do just yet due to a vaulted weapon. Even so, we’ll let you know all about the Light Machine Gun and how to get it in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 2.
How to Get the Light Machine Gun in Fortnite Chapter 3
In Fortnite, the Light Machine Gun was a fast-shooting and hard-hitting weapon. It was perfect at decimating structures, but not so good at long-range battles. For players that knew how to use it, the LMG was the ideal tool to chip away at an opponent’s hiding spot.
The weapon was vaulted, unvaulted, and finally vaulted again back in Chapter 2: Season 5.
So, it’s no surprise there’s been some confusion lately. The new quests in Fortnite require players to do the following:
- Destroy Structures with a Light Machine Gun (0/10)
Since the LMG is still vaulted, there is no way to do this quest.
However, players will be happy to know that there are plans for an unvaulting on April 26th, 2022.
By next week, players can use the Light Machine Gun in Chapter 3 with no difficulty.
According to patch notes, when it gets unvaulted, the LMG will have Common, Uncommon, and Legendary variants. There’s even a new firing sound for the gun.
When the weapon is added back to Fortnite, you’ll probably find it the same way in chests, floor loot, and even from enemies.
Right now, you can use the Light Machine Gun in Fortnite Creative Mode. In fact, you can even find the Legendary variant if you use the Midas Flopper. Just note that if you drop it, it will disappear. This is a fun way to play around with the LMG in the meantime before it’s back.
