The Cube Queen has finally arrived on the Fortnite Island. Many expected the mysterious entity that players could see menacingly floating above the Convergence to make her presence known sooner or later. Now that she has made her move, players of the battle royale titan have a chance to unlock her as a playable skin, but there is a challenge that needs to be done to do so. This guide will show you how to get the Cube Queen skin in Fortnite.

How to Get the Cube Queen Skin in Fortnite

To unlock the Cube Queen skin, you must own the Season 8 Battle Pass. Once you do you will get a series of challenges that are related to the Cube Queen. Luckily, you only need to focus on the first of these challenges to unlock the skin. The first challenge for the Cube Queen’s Punchcard Challenge is to survive five storm circles with a Sideways weapon. You will need to find a Sideways Anomaly. These Anomalies are purple rifts that will become an orange dome once you get close to them. They are depicted on the map as glowing purple icons or large orange circles when they open up. Pass into these Anomalies and open the chest that is found within. There is a very high chance that you will get one of the three Sideways weapons:

  • Sideways rifle
  • Sideways minigun
  • Sideways scythe

Once you have any one of these weapons, simply survive five circles and you will unlock the Cube Queen skin. Don’t get discouraged if you do end up dying before completing the challenge as it will track your progress over multiple games.

Other challenges involved in the Cube Queen’s Punchcard Quests (yes, there are actually two quests for the Queen) will reward you with a number of new cosmetics, with the reward for completing both of these sets of challenges being two new variants of the Cube Queen skin, meaning there are a total of three versions of the Cube Queen in Fortnite.
