Fortnite’s Season 5 is finally here, bringing along major updates to the world’s favorite battle royale. This season’s theme centers around bounty hunting thanks to a partnership with The Mandalorian, and as such, the season includes bounties that you can complete. These can be a little challenging to find and complete though so, in this guide, I’ll teach you how to complete bounties in Fortnite.

How to Complete Bounties in Fortnite

To get a bounty, you must first find an NPC in Fortnite’s world. These are friendly non-player characters who will give you bounty targets to track down and kill. You’ll want to search named locations and inside bounties. Eventually, you’ll find one you can talk to. They’ll offer you a lot of things, but you’ll want to claim a bounty from them. In the event the NPC doesn’t have a bounty for you to complete, keep talking to different NPCs until you find one that has a bounty. Once you’ve found one, claim it and you’ll be assigned another player in the world to eliminate.

This will begin a timer of six minutes, meaning you’ll have to act fast if you want to complete your task. From claiming the bounty in Fortnite, you’ll want to head to the yellow circle located somewhere on your game’s map. Within that yellow circle is your target, so you’ll have to do some searching if you are to find them. Once you’ve found them, eliminate them as soon as you can. If you manage to make the kill before your six-minute timer is up, you will have completed your very first bounty in Fortnite. This will award you with some of the new gold bars currency.

With all this being said, there’s also a chance that you’ll be someone’s next Fortnite bounty target. If this happens, the game will notify you and leave a message of the timer in the top left. You’ll also get a Threat Monitor, which shows how close the hunter is to your location. From there, either evade or kill your hunter to avoid giving the other player free Gold Bars.

Fortnite is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and phones.
