To the STARS.
Its official! Resident Evil characters Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine have arrived in Fortnite Season 8 to help defend the island from the ongoing cube invasion. Epic Games announced the Fortnite x Resident Evil collaboration today, bringing in iconic characters to Season 8. This new collaboration makes perfect sense as Fortnite Season 8 is currently undergoing the yearly Fortnitemares event.
In their blog post, the developers share some crucial information about the recent collaboration and all the things coming to the game. Prominent data miner H.Y.P.E.X. had earlier leaked the collaboration on Twitter. With the Fortnite x Resident Evil collaboration, characters Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine have arrived in the Item Shop. In terms of styling, the Chris Redfield Outfit is based on “his clash in a snowy village,” and the Jill Valentine Outfit is based on her “desperate escape from a relentless pursuer.”
The bundle is called the S.T.A.R.S. team set and will consist of the Resident evil skin, backbling, pickaxe, emote, and some other goodies. There are two different types of backblings on offer. The Green Herb Back Bling has the alt Red Herb and Blue Herb styles and the Saving Keystrokes Back Bling, a typewriter designed as a backbling. Then there is the Hot Dogger pickaxe which is an “umbrella-developed anti-bioweapon knife.” There’s also the Stun Rod Pickaxe that can stop evil in its tracks.
You can even get Brolly Stroll Emote with the Fortnite x Resident Evil collaboration. You will have the opportunity to buy the Chris Redfield Outfit, Jill Valentine Outfit, Green Herb Back Bling with the alternate styles included, and Saving Keystroke Back Bling in the S.T.A.R.S. Team Bundle. Or you can go with the HOT DOGGER Pickaxe, Stun Rod Pickaxe, and Brolly Stroll Emote in the S.T.A.R.S. Team Gear Bundle. Epic Games are throwing in the Survival Loading Screen by Rodrigo Lorenzo with the S.T.A.R.S Team Bundle to make the deal even more fantastic.
As for the prices, the S.T.A.R.S Team Bundle will cost 2100 V-Bucks, while you can even purchase the Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine skins separately. Both the Resident Evil skins are priced at 1500 V-Bucks. Players can also choose whatever they want to buy from the S.T.A.R.S Team Bundle and buy them individually. If you are a Resident Evil fan, then this can’t get any better than this.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
