The Fortnite crossover with Marvel is winding down. When it does, it appears users will be able to suit up as Galactus.

A new leak revealed a skin for the massive villain could be coming to the item shop very soon. The character has also been teased as signifying the official end of the crossover. The Nexus War is expected to end at the beginning of December.

When the storyline completes, we do know the “real” Galactus will make an appearance. After that, is it possible players will be able to dress like him? Will they also become gigantic?

That last part seems unlikely. Fortnite is careful not to allow any cosmetics to influence whether someone wins a round.

No matter whether users will be a normal-sized Galactus or not, it’s a safe bet the skin will be plenty popular. Dataminer “Mix” was the first to find the cosmetic buried in Epic Games’ plans for the Nexus War finale event.

The dataminer did point out; it’s not clear how long this skin will be around.

Fortnite Galactus Visit a Short One?

Part of the reason no one knows for sure what’s on the horizon for the crossover is that Epic has been as tight-lipped as ever. There’s reason to believe Marvel characters will stay in the game after next week’s closing ceremonies.

Venom was recently added to the item shop. Now this cosmetic is coming. It seems unlikely Fortnite devs are creating these looks for such a short stay.

On the other hand, these finale events tend to herald (see what I did there, Marvel fans?) a massive reset in the Fortnite landscape. If that’s the case, those champing at the bit to find out more won’t have to wait long.

Galactus’ arrival and apparent wearable skin are just part of big plans for the game in the near future. Earlier this month, we found out a subscription service is coming to the platform in December.
