After what was arguably one of the craziest most intentional shutdowns of a game ever seen, Fortnite is back! What was recently just a void in space has now been replaced by an all-new map. Only one question remains… Do you like water? Gosh, I hope you like water, because that seems to be the theme of this map.

Have no fear though, this water is made with a purpose. Fish until your heart is content, or at least until you catch that rare loot that you’re after. Ride on a speed boat with friends and rain bullets on your enemies with mounted machine guns. Don’t worry, there seem to be plenty of winding rivers. This makes for quick getaways while also providing plenty of areas to attack players from your boats. Have no fear if your boat blows up, simply swim to shore!

Fortnite is More Than Just A Water Park

The water isn’t the only new feature here, creative weapons and interactive environments are making a splash too. Did your friend go down in a wide-open space that’s too dangerous to heal them? No problem. Just pick them up and carry them to safety for a revive. If your team is wounded or a bit out of reach, simply shoot them with the healing rocket launcher! Sneak attacks abound in this new map, become completely hidden in hay bails only to pop out at the right moment on your unsuspecting victims. If blowing stuff up is more your style then you’ve come to the right place, exploding barrels and blazing gas tanks will have enemies feeling the burn.

Fortnite has also promised that there will be “upgraded combat“. Described as a streamlined arsenal, they promise to have weapons that can be upgraded while using resources at the upgrade beach (catchy right)? Epic Games is also revamping the way leveling works and features a battle pass with a new XP system while gaining medals that are earned in matches.
