There’s plenty of new things coming to Fortnite‘s latest update, giving it a brand new look in Chapter 2. This change is the most significant one players have seen for a long time. There’s a brand new map, mechanics, and plenty of new challenges to do in the game. With every good revamp, players are going to have access to an array of new weapons in the game.

New Guns in Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Update

Veteran players are going to notice a lot of weapons are missing from the game. Epic Games took out a handful of notable options, replacing them with updated ones or giving players new options for a variety of weapons. A huge, helpful gun coming to the game is the Bandage Bazooka. With it, a teammate can choose to equip this large weapon and fire it at their allies. When they hit partners, they’re going to receive healing, giving someone on the team the option to run around as the group’s healer. Players are not always to find this weapon, but when it does show up, it can prove useful.

Yes, the bazooka does work during solo games. All players need to do is aim down at themselves and pull the trigger. It takes a little bit of time to recharge the weapon’s healing capabilities, but if you’re willing to wait, you can genuinely help out your team.

Here are the rest of the weapons currently in the game and what rarities they come in to make it easier to find:

  • Assault Rifle

  • Burst Assault Rifle (three rounds)

  • Pistol

  • Pump-action Shotgun

  • Submachine Gun

  • Sniper Rifle (Bolt-action)

  • Tactical Shotgun

  • Assault Rifle (Looks like a Scar)

  • Burst Rifle (Looks like an AUG)

  • Bandage Bazooka (Heals yourself and your allies, there’s a charge on the weapon, no ammo)

  • Pistol (Looks like a modern version, with a black coloring around)

  • Pump-action Shotgun (Looks like an advanced 12-gauge weapon)

  • Submachine Gun (Looks like a P90, with green trim)

  • Sniper Rifle (Looks like a dern update, fires more consistently)

Those are the big weapons everyone is looking for in Fortnite‘s Chapter 2 update. Epic Games went a different direction with their harder to find items by giving them an updated skin. Players are not going to find an epic or rare skin weapon with a lesser variety. These exclusive weapons only work for the purple and gold lootable objects. It makes it easier for players to tell the type of weapon they’re getting hit by another player.

The colors are still in the game. The standard grey, green, blue, purple, and gold are all there. These updated skins merely make it easier for everyone to notice a difference visually.

We can expect this trend to continue into Chapter 2 and the other seasons in it.
