New locations have been added to the Fortnite: Battle Royale map in Season 5.

Once again, the map has changed following the release of the Season 5 update for Fortnite: Battle Royale.  Rifts are opening up on the new Fortnite Map and it’s brought some brand new locations to explore in the game, including a drought that has turned the Moisty Mire into a desert outpost called Paradise Palms.

Players will find that the Dusty Divot has seen some growth since Season 4.  Anarchy Acres is now the Lazy Links in the Northern part of the map.  The most notable change does come to the old Moisty Mire section of the map which is now a massive desert area with a go-kart track and multiple mountainous areas, a town, and a go-kart track.

Alongside these map changes, when Fortnite players log-in for Season 5 play in Battle Royale they’ll find a new vehicle that can be used as well.  An All Terrain Kart vehicle (ATK) allows four players to traverse the map as the first vehicle of its kind in the game.

With the beginning of Season 5 for Fortnite: Battle Royale there is another Battle Pass for players to purchase.  It costs 950 V-Bucks to get started, but features up to 100 rewards in it that can net players rewards that total over 25,000 V-Bucks, according to Epic Games.

The Season 5 update is currently available for Fortnite on the PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and iOS.
