It’s pretty hard to believe everything that has crossed over into Fornite, from back in the day with John Wick to now we have the likes of Spider-Man, Naruto, and even The Rock. The latest additions to the Battle Royale island are probably some of the most fitting as Marcus Fenix and Kait Diaz from Epic Game’s breakout title Gears of War have finally made their way to the popular game. Along with these skins also came a number of new challenges that tie into the third person shooter series, with the first one tasking players with finding COG tags. This guide will show players all of the locations that they will find COG Tags in Fortnite.

All COG Tag Locations in Fortnite

The COG Tag collection challenge is the first of five Gears of War-inspired challenges that players will have a limited time to complete in Fortnite. The challenge asks players to collect three of a possible ten COG Tags scattered across the island. If the player makes their way over to the Quest tab and scrolls over the Delta-One Quest, where it should tell you to complete the aforementioned collection challenge, it will also give you a map for all ten of the possible COG Tag locations. Below is a full breakdown and map of where to find these COG Tags.

  • Found at the Temple northeast of The Daily Bugle.
  • In the smallest building of The Daily Bugle.
  • Outside of a small hut to the northwest of The Joneses.
  • This COG Tag location is west of Sanctuary.
  • Southwest of Rocky Reels.
  • At the house near the Turbine landmark on the island south of Greasy Grove.
  • Next to a firepit on the island in the lake east of Camp Cuddle.
  • Found under Behemoth Bridge to the southwest of Shifty Shafts.
  • Found within the northern part of Shifty Shafts.
  • Just to the north of Logjam Lumberyard next to a rock is this last COG Tag.

 

Fortnite: What is a Victory Crown?

Once you collect three COG Tags from any of the above locations, the challenge will be completed. Collecting the COG Tags will reward the player with 20,000 XP and will allow them to progress to the next challenge: Crouch Behind Barrier. The Gears of War challenges will be available in the game until December 17 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET, so make sure you get them done before they are gone!
